About Wesley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Explosive, methodical and studied, and 100 % every play. I am calling plays before they even start. I pride myself on studying film of not only opponents but the greats when they were in HS. I will leave everything I have in that game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a leader and have been recognized for this since freshman year in both varsity football and track. I pride myself for setting the tempo both on/off the field and being the example for defense. I come prepared, amped, and knowing I am bringing it all.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

No I am not. My time is centered around my sports, my family, and my community. I just attended my 2nd Next Up camp to work with the you. When I am not training with my team I can be working out with my dad, who is a pro body builder, or my agility coach. My family also owns an alligator farm which I work at during summer and weekends when available.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As I stated already, I do take a lot of responsibility in my leadership roles. I have endured a lot of difficult times, and which has led to deeper understanding of grit and perseverance. As also stated, I was honored with getting to work with a local community's football camp. Several stand out athlete were chosen from all nearby schools. I have a special place for developing all ages.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My biological dad abused my siblings and I until I was 11. Since his death, our family unit, including my stepdad who I share a name with, focused on counseling, developing skills, and now continue to thrive. I have a deep understanding of character development and using opportunities to build myself. All cracks are sealed in gold.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would prefer a D1, as all serious athletes do. I am open to D2 if the program and school are a good fit. I am also open to Juco to retain playing time and get field experience.
