I love Wayne Holloway’s physicality. The 6-foot-0, 150-pound Class of 2027 recruit is very physical at the LOS, gets in receivers’ grills, and has good use-of-hands to break up passes. Times the ball effectively in coverage, doesn’t bite on double-moves, and stays in phase. He committed to Youngstown State, and I’m excited for what he brings to the table for YSU.
Wayne Holloway is a zone-cover corner who flashes good ball skills. Times the ball well for pass breakups. Holloway is quick to close on receivers when they catch the ball and can break up passes, undercuts routes effectively and can be very physical. He had one interception, 12 pass breakups and two tackles for loss last season, and his most-recent offer is from Indiana-Pennsylvania.
Wayne Holloway can be an electrifying playmaker with the ball in his hands. He is very good when taking the ball out of the backfield on screens, quickly getting upfield and making defenders miss in space. Keep an eye on his development. Holloway is also a high-academic prospect.
Good height. Strong cover corner who can come back to the ball, use his hands well to break up passes, times the ball well and can bat-down jump ball situations. Displays being a solid open-field tackler in space.
