We’ve talked a lot about operation in tight windows thus far and even at the 9-man level no one looks more polished at it than Corsica-Stickney running back

. This young man has great instincts to turn nothing plays into big gains and is one that was a top performer at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase with a verified 4.65 40 yard dash. It’s also consistent that Waylon is fighting for yards with his durability and one that is a blue-collar running back that should create some attention this summer as a small town hidden gem college coaches need to know.

A running back prospect where you could certainly see the body development from his last Prep Redzone Dakota’s Combine was Corsica-Stickney 2026

. Our top tester across all positons in the 40-yard dash (4.67) showed off to be about 15 pounds stronger than our last live evaluation but no doubt consistently showed off the burst and finish in Soiux Falls. Waylon also impressed with his versatility he has for the running back position, as one that has plenty of traits to that the position needs as one that has the all-around talent. Would love to see Waylon develop his agility further as those testing numbers I guarantee will improve by next fall due to this kid’s work ethic. Waylon appeared more exlplosive in Sioux Falls so that upside to grow is certainly there as our current RB4 in the South Dakota 2026 class.

Stat Line: 300+ rushing yards, five touchdowns.
Waylon showed off plenty of patience getting to the 300+ yards mark in Corsica-Stickney’s 60-30 win Week 0 win over Gayville-Volin. Regardless if he was running North-South or East-West, Waylon showed off instinctive vision, and is growing with the length with his steps from what I can see from my last evaluation. This kid can turn on the jets quickly with his short burst, as he did it numerous times on tape in Week 0. Waylon certainly showed why he is one of our top running backs in South Dakota’s 2026 class even in the first week of the 9B season.
