About Wainaina

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My defensive style in football is hard, aggressive, and relentless. I thrive on physicality, staying locked in on every play, and never giving opponents a moment to breathe. I'm always ready to step up, make big hits, shut down routes, and lead with intensity. My mindset is simple: make them earn every yard.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m always positive and ready to grow, both on and off the field. I bring good energy, stay motivated, and constantly work on becoming the best version of myself. At the same time, I’m committed to helping my teammates improve and supporting them in becoming better players and better people.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've developed a strong sense of compassion and community through my volunteer work with Feed My Starving Children, where I helped pack food for kids in need. This experience taught me the value of giving back, working as a team for a greater cause, and being a leader through service.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I’ve faced significant challenges, especially learning how to stay focused and motivated during tough times, both on and off the field. Whether it's dealing with setbacks, injuries, or personal struggles, I’ve learned to stay mentally strong, keep a positive attitude, and push through with hard work and discipline. These experiences have shaped me into a tougher, more resilient person.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm aiming high and looking for a college that challenges me both athletically and academically. My dream is to play football for the Michigan Wolverines, so I'm seeking a program with a strong football tradition, top-level coaching, and a culture built on hard work, discipline, and excellence. I want to be part of a team that pushes me to be my best every day.
