I was impressed with what I saw from Nakihinga when watching his non-varsity film from last season this past offseason. A relatively newer player to the game, the natural ability was obvious even if the skills were somewhat raw. He’s begun ironing out those inconsistencies and sharpening his technique. That’s what I’ve witnessed during three in-person scouting opportunities this season. It’s a projectable 6-foot-3 frame lining up at wideout. There’s plenty of room to fill out and add strength while holding the speed and athleticism that already leads to success. Nakihinga flashed that upside when hauling in a 40-yard catch on Pleasant Valley on Friday. He got behind the defense and laid out horizontally to finish the play. A college looking to develop a playmaker with potential would be advised to look at the Liberty senior.

Nakihinga is an interesting prospect in that he’s raw from a football standpoint but with athleticism creating a sizable ceiling for the long-limbed wideout. It’s not just ordinary athleticism, either. The then-sophomore finished fourth in the high jump (6-4) at Drake Relays and was sixth in the event at the Class 4A state track meet. He’s also a hurdler. Still ironing out his game on the football field, Nakihinga developed on the Liberty junior varsity in 2025. It’s tough to crack a deep group of receivers in the program, but he set himself up for a chance to do that, as we can see when watching his junior highlight video. He’s gifted with leaping ability, balance and speed. He even punts.
