Slaughter is another big QB prospect who flashes all afternoon. He got better as the afternoon went on, and his traits make him an intriguing player to watch. He is a tall, long player with a natural release. He gets easy loft and distance on the ball, and does so amongst conditions where throwing the ball was difficult. He got better as the day went on, and he built off of big plays. He gave his receivers a chance downfield and placed it in spots where only his guys could make a play. Underrated player who is fun to watch when he gets rolling.
Slaughter has good size for a 2027. He has a compact throwing motion with a quick release. He was decisive in his throws. He worked more the intermediate routes and had the arm strength to fit the ball into smaller windows giving his receivers the opportunities to make plays after the catch.

is a talented passer out of Hueytown that made some very impressive plays throughout his freshman season last fall. Slaughter has a very talented arm already- on tape he has several plays where he demonstrates the ability to both air it out deep and zip it into tight windows. Slaughter throws a really accurate ball, he leads his receivers really well and can make some seriously difficult throws at every level of the field. Slaughter also shows that he has some really promising athleticism as well, he has a strong arm that can really get the ball downfield and also shows some solid mobility when on the run. Keep an eye on Slaughter and this Hueytown offense this upcoming season, I was really impressed by what I saw on tape from Slaughter in just his first season and think that with his talents, he’s set up for a lot of success going forward.
I am additionally impressed with Vernon Slaughter, a quarterback for Yog Select 7v7. Slaughter made a considerable difference at the helm of the offense due to his quick release, precise decision-making and his ability to overwhelm the defense with his deep passing. Slaughter also stood out due to his ability to stay mobile on the ground and quickly scan the backfield for open receivers.
Claiming the number three spot on my list is Vernon Slaughter, a quarterback for Yog Select 7v7 caught my attention with his precise decision-making and ability to complete the deep pass despite heavy defensive coverage around the endzone. Slaughter impresses me with his ability to capitalize on substantial space in the backfield, utilizing his quick release to find an open receiver for the touchdown.
At the top of my list is Vernon Slaughter, a quarterback for Yog Select 7v7 that made a significant difference at the helm of the offense due to his height, arm strength and ability to hit his receivers in stride from anywhere on the field. Slaughter additionally had no problems launching bullets into the endzone, proving he can quickly put points on the scoreboard with his strong passing game.
