How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am a very physically explosive player. I use my breakaway speed and agility to my advantage. I use my high football IQ to make a play when adversity presents itself. I am high energy, fast, and fast thinking. In my team's role of running back and kick off returner I use those skills to the fullest of my abilities. Also known as an all purpose back. Playing both sides of the ball.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
Two totally different things can be said about my personality that exist all at once. I am quiet and loud. What I mean by the is that I have been described as a man of few words, but my presence is always known and felt. I light up the field but I am also a humble man. I am a strong worker and believe in fighting to get the job done.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I have been involved in AVID for all 4 years of high school. AVID is a college readiness program that seeks to help guide an underrepresented population navigate towards college. It not only focuses on college preparedness, but also giving back to the community by way of volunteering and mentoring to the youth. I was also apart of the Black Student Union .
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have continued to grow as a team leader. I am one of the team captains and I prepared for this journey last year by completing an Jacob High school leadership council mentorship series. I continue to encourage my teammates on and off the field and lead by example.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I have faced some challenges with juggling my Homelife and schooling that I have fought to overcome. I have learned to leave separate the two worlds and stay focused. In the later years of my high schooling I have become much more capable of managing my time wiser.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am open to any size college that would be able to help me attain my goal of a college education while allowing me to continue to pursue my passion in football.
