is a difference maker of an athlete for Monessen. They use him all over the field and he is constantly making plays for his team. He has legit speed and can score anytime he touches the ball. Monessen uses him in the run game, and they throw the ball to him. He shows good burst and elusiveness. They also played him at quarterback where he was able to use his running skills. Kershaw is a good athlete who is a weapon all over the field.
A prospect I’ve had stashed for almost two years now. First saw this young man at a 7v7 many months back, been waiting to rank him well on our site, yet a debut ranking still eludes the junior athlete. Great build, one powerful lower body, Monessen’s TyVaughn KershawTyVaughnKershaw

is starting off his junior year at an incredible pace. 50 total yards shy of 500 scrimmage yards through just two weeks of play. 10 scores in two games, an unreal start to the year no matter the competition level, this being my opinion. I’m not opposed to feeling that Kershaw could deal the same type of damage if on a Central Valley or Aliquippa program. That’s how talented this kid is. Hopefully, college coaches can look past the competition level and see what kind of talent there is to be developed hidden at Monessen HS. Kershaw is a factor on the defensive side of the football too. Likely an easy FCS-ceiling type of prospect. A prospect I wouldn’t mind traveling to see in person. I don’t expect the tear Kershaw is on to stop anytime soon.

. No way anyone can take a look at his first tape and think it’s freshman tape. This kid looks and plays the part. At running back, the young man has a low center of gravity that makes him a tough back to get to the ground on the first hit. It’s more than likely going to take two or more guys to get him down on a consistent basis. I saw him work at a 7v7 earlier this year, his attitude and seriousness were present then, and I can tell it’s still a huge part of his game. He can set the tone at RB or safety, where he came up with some huge hits and even an interception to cap it all off. Kershaw’s performance is something to build on. Excited to see if he can keep his top-ranked status this Fall.
