They use him all over the field and he is constantly making plays for his team. He has legit speed and can score anytime he touches the ball. Monessen uses him in the run game, and they throw the ball to him. He shows good burst and elusiveness. They also played him at quarterback where he was able to use his running skills. Kershaw is a good athlete who is a weapon all over the field.

A prospect I’ve had stashed for almost two years now. First saw this young man at a 7v7 many months back, been waiting to rank him well on our site, yet a debut ranking still eludes the junior athlete. Great build, one powerful lower body, Monessen’s TyVaughn Kershaw TyVaughn Kershaw 5'9" | 190 lbs | RB Monessen | 2026 State PA is starting off his junior year at an incredible pace. 50 total yards shy of 500 scrimmage yards through just two weeks of play. 10 scores in two games, an unreal start to the year no matter the competition level, this being my opinion. I’m not opposed to feeling that Kershaw could deal the same type of damage if on a Central Valley or Aliquippa program. That’s how talented this kid is. Hopefully, college coaches can look past the competition level and see what kind of talent there is to be developed hidden at Monessen HS. Kershaw is a factor on the defensive side of the football too. Likely an easy FCS-ceiling type of prospect. A prospect I wouldn’t mind traveling to see in person. I don’t expect the tear Kershaw is on to stop anytime soon.
