About Tyson

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Versatile player on both sides of the ball. Aggressive, quick and twitchy in space. At the RB position, an electric spark plug with vision. A shifty runner with burst and power. As a LB/SS, a ball hunter with a high motor, looking to be aggressive, physical and smart every single snap. Multi-Sport Athlete: added wrestling as an additional sport; core, technique and balance training.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to stay locked in for four quarters. I take pride in my high motor, focus and football IQ. I love to practice, love to train and believe in being a student of the game. I always compete with a chip on my shoulder, taking on the bigger challenges with strategy and control.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m an A-Honors Student-Athlete, a member of the school band and an avid chess player as well. Certification of Nomination for Award - Congress of Future Medical Leaders Award of Excellence. Met with the Lyle School of Engineering at SMU (December 2025).

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My parents, mentors, coaches and others have taught me a lot about leadership, teamwork and community service. I hold high value in each. Leaders must learn first. Being a great team player is essential. Community Service is extremely important to give back. Each Christmas I wrap toys for a giveaway, which I enjoy a lot.

What type of college are you looking for?

A university with a strong Engineering/Computer Science program. I’ve been interested in becoming an engineer since the 5th grade. I love creating things from scratch and working with a team to do so. I’m very inquisitive in understanding how things work.
