If you know me by now, and I hope most of you do, you’ll know I have a soft spot for running backs of all different sizes. RJM has a good one in 2025 5’9, 210 lb. bruiser Ty’Shawn Beane, who saw nearly a 10-spot ranking increase to become the 124th overall ranked junior in MN. After a fruitful grind of an offseason going into the fall of 2023, Beane produced some exciting production and junior tape that highlights his good burst, pull away speed once he finds space, vision, and suddenness. Beane posted 152 carries for 783 yards and 11 TDs plus 257 receiving yards, and I really like his vision, as he finds holes and seams in traffic and masses off bodies that are hard to see even on film, and I really like how he spies the cutback lanes. I also enjoy the suddenness in his cuts at the tackle point, and he’s valuable in the screen game and possesses soft hand as well. I think Beane would make a great fit in the NSIC, and once again, the Rochester area is stacked with talent in the 2025 class.
