Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A thick, powerful interior lineman in West Georgia currently flying undet the radar, this big defensive tackle is a stout run defender who plays with good leverage, can take on double teams, and makes a lot of tackles for someone in the trenches. He fights off blocks, closes running lanes, and makes a big impact for an always talented Callaway defense. He’s one of the top returning defensive linemen in the area who is now ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 27 DL and the No. 383 overall prospect in the state for his class.

The 1st Team GACA All State DL has seen his recruitment really pick up this off season. He has received a handful of interest from Mercer, Tennessee Tech, Colorado State and most recently Charleston Southern.
The 6’2 298 DT moves well for a big man, showing some good athleticism from the snap of the ball. A strong, physical guy that knows how to use his leverage to push OL backwards. Fitten is ferocious tackler that when he gets you wrapped up you are going to the turf.

A West Georgia defensive tackle on the rise out of Callaway High, Fitten is a thick defender who can fight off blocks and clog running lanes in the trenches. He’s quick off the snap, plays with good leverage, and does a good job of finding his way into the backfield. He’s tough to move backwards and was a consistent run-clogging lineman all season long as a junior last year. His recruitment is picking up and offers have come his way this month from Colorado State and Samford. Look for more to follow
