About Tyriq

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a true dual-threat quarterback who thrives under pressure and leads with confidence. I have the arm strength and accuracy to make every throw on the field, whether it's throwing a bullet in tight coverage or launching a deep ball. But what separates me from others is my ability to extend plays, make smart reads on the run, and consistently find ways to win. Whatever it takes to help my team

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I always love to compete. I love not just playing the game but playing the game with passion. I always try and find ways to win no matter what it is i’m doing. I like to try and play like and be like Tim Tebow. I love how much work he puts in and how much passion he has for the game wither it’s lifting, pre game speeches, he always gives 100% that’s how i would like to be.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I played for a team called Adversity Athletes lions this last year and we won the 12u AYF National Championship.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I think i’ve developed a lot more of a leadership role for every team i’ve been on this past year just cause of the confidence i’ve built from getting a lot better skill wise and putting in a lot more work has helped a lot with confidence and leadership.

What type of college are you looking for?

Any college that gives me a chance and believes in me.

  • Perhaps no other state opened more eyes than Idaho at the 2024 AYF National Championship tournament. The Gem State saw both a 13U and 12U team win a Natty in their respective divisions. The 12U team was led by the play of QB Tyriq Reese
  • Reese showed off his toughness and dual-threat ability throughout the tournament. Keeping plays alive with his legs, breaking out of poor tackles and throwing dimes to his weapons on the outside.
  • When he wasn’t playing Quarterback, Reese also did a solid job on the defensive side of the ball. Looked at home playing Linebacker and used quickness to alertly drop into passing lanes
