The second Blackhawk High School prospect on this list and one I’m actually familiar with, although Jackson is currently sitting on our watch list as a Pennsylvania 2028 junior offensive lineman. He stands at 6’1, 270 pounds and carries a 3.5 GPA. He has consistently posted single game cutups on Twitter, although I’m still waiting on his Week 4 and Week 5 tape there. His Hudl does have both games available. I implore a prospect of his caliber to get a complete midseason tape out as soon as possible.
I already looked through his early September single game cutups, so I decided to dig into his Shaler Area tape, which is nearly two minutes long and was posted four days before the publishing of this article. Jackson operates within the same heavy set offensive scheme I talked about in the paragraphs above. I believe him to be the left tackle in this offense. He is sometimes left on an island and other times stationed beside two tight ends or a sniffer.
This entire offensive line unit has to be on top of its game when it comes to locating assignments and executing blocks correctly. It is not an easy offense for an offensive lineman to operate within, yet Jackson looks like he is doing his part at left tackle. Great initial impactor and a great driver.
I think the middle phase of his game is where he can improve. After locating his assignment and making initial contact, I want to see him get those hands inside and lock out his elbows. Once he cleans up the middle portion of his reps, he can seriously climb our rankings. He gets off the ball well, attacks with low pad level and a ton of lower body strength, and is willing to drive defenders through the whistle, sometimes even beyond it.
I would love to see this young man in a camp setting. He gets his backside into the correct hole and creates an easy path for his ball carrier to follow. He can execute a kickout block, reach the second level and pave the way once he gets there.
A complete midseason tape is likely incoming, and I’m looking forward to it. I love what I’m seeing on this tape right now.
