In my eyes it wasn’t a question of whether or not Tyler Ellis Tyler Ellis 5'7" | 130 lbs | ATH Holmdel Hornets (Youth Program) | 2031 NJ was a standout during the second session of the tryout, it’s a a question of which position does he fit at? He’s truly fits the designation of an ATH because he’s shaped more like a WR/DB than a RB/LB, but moved well enough during RB drills. With that said, he brought more physicality in the second session than the majority of DBs did in the third session.

Holmdel’s lone standout from the 12U Jersey Shore Conference All-Stars tryout was No.5 Tyler Ellis Tyler Ellis 5'7" | 130 lbs | ATH Holmdel Hornets (Youth Program) | 2031 NJ . Ellis told me he’s a Running Back/Edge player, but comparing his body type nationally, it wouldn’t shock me to see him move to a Strong Safety position. He was absolutely in the upper echelon when it came to athleticism, but his lack of weight and size was a factor at times. Where he ends up playing is TBD.
