About Tylan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Highly physical, be the strongest at the point of attack whether on defense or offense. High effort and motor that doesn’t give up on plays and will make them behind the line of scrimmage or running someone twenty yards downfield

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Perfectionist, friendly and respectful of other and takes all competition seriously both academically and athletically. However, when the whistle sounds I will always choose violence.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

N/A

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I work most evenings at an indoor training facility where I help players between the ages of 7-12 learn to compete and develop skills in baseball. Keeping players organized and working with the special needs players as well has taught me patience and leadership skills when coaching. Additionally I umpire in a youth baseball league that requires me to work with both players and parents.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Due to my size at a young age I have been pushed to play up against bigger and stronger players most of my time competing. It’s made me value details of how to play your position both as an individual and within a team concept to help us win the games

What type of college are you looking for?

My father played at the University of Illinois, I want to attend a school that prioritizes a solid athletic program with quality academics that will help me grow. I’m not stuck in a size or championship contender, I want to go somewhere I can make a difference
