We’ve written about Tucker Phelon Tucker Phelon 5'8" | 160 lbs | QB Obion County Central | 2028 TN a few times in the previous months and my stance on the Hillcrest Middle School prospect stays the same–there’s a lot of potential here. Phelon comes with good size and athletic ability and was a Reelfoot All-Conference selection this year. A multi-sport athlete who can play quarterback, safety and even some wide receiver, if needed. Long term I think he’s certainly a quarterback and look for him to garner a lot of headlines at Obion County Central.

We actually wrote about Phelon late in October, but the ability the western TN native has, can’t be understated. Phelon led the Hillcrest Cougars to the Reelfoot Conference title game this past season. Despite taking it on the chin in the title game, Phelon was named Hillcrest’s Offensive MVP on the year. He followed his memorable regular/post-season by earning a selection to the West TN All-Star Game in early November. He was the only Cougar to actually participate in the game, taking snaps at quarterback and wide receiver–which showed off his athletic ability.

– The three-sport athlete (basketball and baseball) accounted for the lone touchdown and two-point conversion in the conference championship game loss to the Westin Porter Westin Porter 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB Greenfield | 2028 TN -led Greenfield Yellow Jackets

– He passes the eye test right away in terms of build, stature and QB swag at 5-foot-10 and 150-ish pounds. Then backs it up with dual-threat ability that is exciting to watch and drives the opposition crazy. Looks cool and calm operating out of the shotgun, but can then take off within the blink of an eye
