is one of the best athletes in the 2026 class, and he is already committed to playing football at Miami University (Ohio). No doubt about it, he is a dynamic athlete. He has legit speed and can score anytime he touches the ball. He also shows an excellent ability to make defenders miss in space. As a quarterback, he shows a good arm and delivers a good football, but his future this season and in College is probably as a wide receiver. Someone with his size (6’4″) and speed (4.4 range) is hard to find. This season for Washington, he will probably play as a quarterback and as a wide receiver. Whatever position it is, he will be a difference maker.
Scrimmage went great today. UNSTOPPABLE‼️ Glad to be back in action with my brothers!!! @210ths @PA_TodaySports @WPIAL_Insider @wpialsportsnews @TheWPIALEdition @PRZVicCastillo @the_yvy_program @MiamiOHFootball @The_hive_ath pic.twitter.com/5bVeeyk2MH

is ranked as a Top 40 quarterback by our PA site but earned WR MVP honors at the Winter Exposure Showcase on Sunday night. Reed is a very long athlete in the 6’4-6’5 range which created issues for the defensive backs in attendance at the camp. Reed has a long wingspan and a large catch radius with the athleticism to go up and get the ball. To no surprise, he’s a dual-threat quarterback when watching his game film doing so under center and out of the shotgun. His ceiling may be higher as an ATH prospect compared to QB as Reed has the measurables and athleticism to develop into a high-level receiver in college.
Positional MVP at the Winter Exposure Camp for WR!!! Thank you @CoachGordon10 @CoachMathis922 @BallHawkMedia1 !!! @210ths @WPIAL_Insider @TheWPIALEdition @WPIAL_Insider @PA_TodaySports @PRZPAvic pic.twitter.com/8wnRBdqUcd

The Washington sophomore’s build is usually the first thing that catches evaluator’s eyes. A young 6’4, 155-160-pound prospect who looks destined to play basketball at some point.

is special on turf, almost special enough to crack out Top250. Operates out of 21 personnel often, Washington wants Reed to work a traditional 3-5 step drop back, one they can incorporate play-action sets out of. Reed is still stiff as a board in terms of footwork but his natural arm talent makes up for this at the current stage of his development. Reed’s delivery could be tuned a bit, stiff here as well but the end product/result is usually a good one. Lot of extension away from his body when bringing the ball to the ear hole, bit of a slinger. Can’t ignore the production as a sophomore, solid variation of route concepts and throws made on tape, solid deep ball that should keep secondaries at this level honest. Expecting a huge developmental leap this off-season. Could be a Top 20 QB down the line.

Reed is a 6’4, 160-pound athlete who moves fluidly for his size. He has distributed the ball pretty evenly among his targets. He’s mobile and able to extend plays when he scrambles. Reed has done a good job of putting air on his deep passes in 2023 so his WRs can run under the throw. He gets the ball to the right playmakers on fades and seam verticals. Tristan also plays DB and runs a 4.6 40-yard dash to go along with his frame. Reed’s throwing ability will continue to progress the more reps he gets. Tristan is one of the biggest reasons for Washington’s sensational start in ‘23.

Reed is a nice-sized QB who can easily see over the O-line at 6’4, 160 pounds. He has a sidearm release that he needs to work on in order to play as a college QB. Although he has enough arm strength and accuracy to be effective now, collegiately, pressure could change that assessment. In 2023, he’s gotten the ball to his playmakers consistently, which has contributed to Wash High’s 4-0 record. Reed also plays safety and runs a 4.6 40-yard dash. Tristan’s athletic ability could have him playing DB or WR collegiately if he doesn’t correct his throwing motion. Overall, he’s an athlete that shows a lot of potential, and I’m excited to watch his progression.
