Trenton is another young running back worth getting familiar with in the 2030 class. At the RB position, it’s all about having good vision, being patient behind your blockers, and knowing when to hit the open lane. As Trenton continues to gain experience, those are areas that will help take his game to another level. Getting an early start at the high school level gives him plenty of opportunities to improve his footwork, balance, and ability to make defenders miss in space.
Walton is a versatile offensive weapon who can impact the game as a wide receiver, slot option, and running back, giving his team flexibility in how they deploy him. His ability to move between roles naturally stands out, especially for a player still early in development.
In the slot, Walton shows comfort operating in space, working short routes, and finding soft spots in coverage. He has a good feel for timing and can quickly transition into yards after the catch opportunities.
As a running back, he runs with urgency and does a solid job identifying lanes, allowing him to contribute efficiently on touches out of the backfield. His versatility makes him a useful piece in multiple formations.
An added note in his development has been his offseason work with Storm Woods, which has helped sharpen his overall skill set and approach to the game.
Trenton stood out in drills today, showing off his quickness, agility, and ability to change direction on a dime. Whether working through cone drills or ball-carrying exercises, he stayed low, exploded out of his cuts, and maintained balance throughout every rep.
