Expert Analysis
Sam Erman | Prep Redzone Scout
It’s been as good a start to the season as possible for Martin through 2 weeks. He’s coming off of an elite performance Friday and is only getting better. He’s versatile and can play in the box as well as in the backend, which is what he did again on Friday. He was in on just about every play it seemed like, but he finished the night with 22 tackles, 7 solos, and 3 TFLs on the night. With 3 picks already this season, if this is Martin turning the page in his development, he’s got our attention.

Heading into his Junior season and looking to take another step is Martin, who is as explosive as anyone in the class. He’s a versatile player who plays on both sides of the ball but is a problem with the ball in his hands. He has fantastic vision, knows how to be patient and let blocks set up, and can shoot out the back door. He looks the ball in and doesn’t drop many balls. I like where he’s at and I think there’s a chance he’s a 2nd half-career bloomer.
