Brown’s raw stats don’t tell the whole story of his impact on the game. He excels at tying up offensive linemen, eating double-teams, and opening things up for his linebackers. Brown has some pass-rushing upside, as evidenced by his 2.5 sacks as a sophomore. Brown is more than a big body, and we think he could create some momentum on the recruiting trail this offseason.

Brown had a great season for a young Triton defense last season, racking up over 25 tackles from his defensive tackle position. He also had 2.5 sacks, making him one of the most productive returning interior pass-rushers in the Triangle. He’s only a rising junior as well, so there’s more time for his body to develop. We have him slated for a move from the watchlist to the rankings next update and think he’s a really good player.
