The number 2 Kicker in the state in his class had himself an impactful game for the Huskies of Blue Valley Northwest. He was a weapon on Kickoff having 4 touchbacks and even got a tackle when on one of his Kickoffs saving a touchdown. He also posted a 36.4 punting avg with a long of 42. The lefty has shown he has the leg strength to cut through the tough Kansas wind. Be on the lookout for Trace to continue to have an impact on Special Teams.

After breaking down each of the latest additions to the 2026 recruiting class, the Cracking the Rankings series ends with Trace Rudd Trace Rudd 5'11" | 175 lbs | K Blue Valley Northwest | 2026 State KS of Blue Valley Northwest. Rudd became the first specialist to debut in the rankings, as he is currently the top-ranked kicker in the class. The 5-foot-11 lefty earned All-League honors during his freshman year after connecting on 35 of 41 PAT’s, and he also booted 21 touchbacks. He’s had a strong summer as well, putting together solid camp performances at Iowa State and the University of Nebraska.
