Tommy Tres Daughtry is an absolute baller at quarterback and one of the most exciting young signal-callers in the Sandhills. The former JV starter already possesses the tools to have played varsity football for many programs in the area. Daughtry has a strong arm, plays with confidence, and is a fierce competitor every time he steps on the field. What separates him, though, is his ability to create with his legs. He’s a dynamic runner who can extend plays and turn broken situations into big gains. With a full season leading the Colts’ offense, don’t be surprised if Daughtry finds himself in the conversation for All-Conference honors by the end of the year.

Daughtry doesn’t have a ton of varsity film after sitting most of the year behind one of our favorite 2026 quarterbacks, but if the early returns are any indication, Cape Fear should be just fine at the quarterback position next season. Daughtry throws a tremendous deep ball with a simple throwing motion and excellent arm strength. He doesn’t run a ton, but has ample athleticism to escape and fire downfield.
