Tommy has quick feet and fast hands at the line of scrimmage.  His burst at get off blows past most lineman and he is fast enough to track down running plays from the backside.  He is stout against the run, and lightening quick in pass rush.  Tommy controls the edge with a mix of moves, and brings the lumber when tackling.  He can play the screen well  and is also fast to the boundary.  Tommy also can contribute on offense.  He can pancake defenders, run crisp routes, catch in traffic, and is not looking to step out of bounds.  His skills are best on display at defensive end, where his relentless motor and hard hitting makes him a terror to most offenses and makes him one of the best in New England.

College coaches are looking for specific things. The first thing, whether a recruit is 320 pounds or 260 pounds playing defensive line, is first step quickness. The recruit must have to be able to get off the ball quick enough to keep the offensive linemen away from himself. Keep their big old paws off the DL, so that the DL can have a chance to get to where he has got to be. “Rupley” is a great example of this and his recruitment thus far is surely showing just that. He is a edge player with a motor and can produce.  His quickness/speed pops on film.  He also has very good quickness, strength at point of attack, elite lateral quickness and balance, excellent power -speed or edge rush, and pursuit and effort.

Tommy Rupley Tommy Rupley 6'4" | 250 lbs | DL Belmont Hill | 2025 State New E is 6’4″ 255lbs and attends Belmont Hill School in Massachusetts.  Rupley was positioned as a defensive end and tight end for his team this season.  In his Freshman year, he was selected out of 70 players from the class of 2025, to play in the #1 Freshman all-star game in the country The FBU Freshman All American Game. This season, he totaled 6.5 sacks in a 8 game season while playing the edge. His 2022 season play earned him 1st team All ISL League honors. rnHis is a gifted pass rusher with a motor and length. He currently has early offers from power 5 schools such as Boston College, Wake Forest, and Duke University. He is also getting additional interest from Penn State and Rutgers.
