TJ Lawrence TJ Lawrence 5'11" | 211 lbs | LB/RB Parkland | 2027 State PA is a difference maker on both sides of the ball for Parkland. He played as a running back and as a linebacker. On both sides of the ball, he showed great ability. As a running back, he is a good athlete who makes defenders miss in space well. After visiting Lehigh’s camp this weekend, he picked up his 1st offer from Lehigh. I expect more offers to come his way; he is that talented a player.

One look at Lawrence in shorts and a t-shirt and you’ll ask yourself, “running back?” I’m familiar with Lawrence’s two-way game, have been for some time, so I wasn’t surprised to see him look smooth in and out of cuts while carrying a thick build. Coaches present who were unfamiliar with TJ were surprised, however.

Lawrence had backers leaning consistently. Eye discipline, can press a hole with authority. Lawrence would win several 1v1 reps countering leverage. Deceptive at the point of attack, Lawrence showed off his elusiveness against backers who took his athleticism lightly. 9’2 broad for a 210-pound RB/LB, 4.51 shuttle. The story of Lawrence’s performance was his athleticism vs. build. People, including myself, shouldn’t try to force Lawrence into a backer role, this based on what I’ve seen on tape as well as what I’ve been able to validate with my own eyes. A true two-way talent at Parkland’s disposal.

Measurables haven’t changed since last update, 5’11, 200 pounds. Self reports an impressive 4.17 GPA. Was enamored with TJ Lawrence TJ Lawrence 5'11" | 211 lbs | LB/RB Parkland | 2027 State PA the linebacker, yet his tape is proving he can serve as a serious weapon on offense now. Is a basketball player at Parkland. Ranked 51/198 prior to update, now 93/500.

Led Parkland in tackles with 82, 7 of which went for TFLs. I spent about 18 months projecting TJ Lawrence TJ Lawrence 5'11" | 211 lbs | LB/RB Parkland | 2027 State PA to the defensive side of the ball, this after watching his spectacular LB reps as a freshman this past offseason. After watching Lawrence rip off nearly 1,500 yards of offense on his sophomore tape, I am forced to no longer squeeze Lawrence into a defensive collegiate prospect mold. 15 total touchdowns, 13 of which came after carries in the backfield, two through the air. Comfortable running out of gun sets, displays good set-up vision and patience, can hit holes between the tackles as if he were shot out of a cannon. Not a back I would label a “home-run” threat, yet Lawrence has his fair share of long-distanceg scores. A tanky, think build that suits both his running style as well as his defensive prowess behind the DL. Runs with elbows and knees flying, he’s a true bruiser of a back. Many of the positives I lauded Lawrence for as a freshman at backer I can attribute to Lawrence the sophomore offensive weapon. A threat to turn swings, bubbles, and tunnel screens into splash plays. Excited to see this young man in the offseason.

This is one of my favorite prospects in the area. The 2027 RB/LB out of Parkland High. The 5’11 | 200 lb athlete is one of the most instinctual football players around. I love what he can do on the defensive side of the ball. He has good vision allowing him to anticipate plays. TJ finds the ball, fills the gap, and makes the play. Then he’ll turn around and take a run 50 yards to the house. He’s that kind of player. I love what he’s doing with his role at Parkland. I’m extremely excited to watch him over these next 2 seasons. In a loss against St. Joseph Prep TJ Lawrence TJ Lawrence 5'11" | 211 lbs | LB/RB Parkland | 2027 State PA was one of the lone bright spots for Parkland. He does a good job running the ball and shows a good explosion when he hits the hole. Then, when he gets into the open field, he shows the speed to run past defenders. Lawrence had a strong year for Parkland and will continue to play well as a 2027 prospect.
