Matt Tate | Prep Redzone Scout
Huard is a premier QB prospect and has gained nationwide traction with a plethora of offers. He measures in at 6’6 200-pounds and is a prototypical pocket passer. He threw 127/184 for 1946 yards, 69% completion rate, 16 TDs, 4 INT, 30 carries for 54 yards with 4 touchdowns. He has good athletic ability due to good acceleration, speed, and very good balance. Very smooth footwork when dropping back. Huard has elite throw power, launching the ball downfield easily. Very good release too. He can fit the ball in tight windows and maintain his very good accuracy. Huard has very good ball placement skills. Beautiful over the shoulder deep throws. Very good throw on the run and off-platform throws. Huard excels in the pocket. Very good pocket presence and pocket mobility. Will stay in the pocket later to make the throw, risking taking a big hit. He consistently goes through his reads with good progression speed to find the open man. Huard stays poised throughout. I’m very excited to see how he continues to thrive next season!

Huard demonstrated poise and leadership, keeping Valor Christian competitive in a tightly contested playoff battle. Completing 50 percent of his passes, he protected the football, avoided costly mistakes and delivered timely plays when his team needed them most. His most impressive moment came on a determined rushing touchdown that gave his team the lead. Huard operated with confidence, extending plays and maintaining composure under pressure. His decision making allowed them to stay balanced and sustain drives. Huard’s performance reflected growth and resilience. He is a player with strong upside moving forward and his ability to command an offense will be key in the next round.

If you’ve followed my writups through the years, it’s no secret how much stock I put into genetics when trying to forecast the future success for eighth-grade prospects. For that reason, among many others,

is a quarterback prospect that the high school world will hear about in the near future. If that Huard last name rings a bell, he’s the son of former NFL quarterback turned FOX College Football analyst, Brock Huard. In addition to that, his mother Molly played basketball at the University of Washington (where father Brock went to school, too) and his two older sisters Haley and Macey are both playing hoops at Montana. “Little brother” Titus is already listed at 6-foot-4, 170-pounds and will be off to Valor Christian in the fall. He’s got an obvious height advantage and as you can see in the film from two years ago below he can throw some frozen ropes.
