There was a lot of talent on display in the running back/linebacker session of the tryout and a lot of kids who can/will play both sides of the ball. Howell’s Tim O’Rourke Tim O’Rourke LB Howell | 2028 NJ is probably one of those kids on the fringe of making this team–but there’s a lot to like. O’Rourke showed off toughness and grit throughout the tryout. He attended the first tryout session, which was for OL/DL and Defensive End’s, and that’s where he originally caught my eye. He hung tough and battled in the trenches with the big boys, then stayed around and went back to work with the linebackers. Played with a strong base and was pretty agile at both positions–likely aided by him wrestling in the off-season. Again, I think he’s on the cusp of making the team, but he showed he can play on the line or as a linebacker–which could help him out.
