There’s a lot to like about McClain especially from a size perspective at 6-foot-3 and over 200-pounds. On Saturday, we hope to get an up close look at McClain’s athleticism and how he moves in space. How will he do against the more athletic running backs? How fluid are his hips, how quickly can he change direction? These are two big questions we’re going to be looking to get answered.

. McLain faithfully takes his read steps as he diagnoses and shifts over to the hole. When he sees the gap clearly he accelerates full speed and with solid explosion. A hustler, he will chase the ball carrier from sideline-to-sideline. In terms of tackling, McLain makes it a point of emphasis to pound on quarterbacks when he gets a fred shot on them. McLain should look to include more clips of pass coverage on his tape and lead with his shoulder when tackling. As a sniffer on offense he does a good job blocking with correct head placement.
