Grant is force in the center of the Ben Franklin defense after finishing his sophomore season with 110 total tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, and 5.5 sacks. Plays downhill and physical flowing fast and freely to the ball. Quick to shoot gaps and plug lanes as a run stopper. He initiates strong first contact with good power and leverage to take on blockers and limit yards after contact as a tackler. Does a good job disengaging from blockers. Will continue to get better and be an impact player for the next several years.

Closes and attacks gaps with intent and confidence to be a strong run filler. Brings a physical presence as a tackler by being an aggressive striker that finishes through contact with good forward momentum and leg drive. His combination of instincts, controlled patience, and explosive downhill trigger makes him one to watch as he develops. Voted First Team 3A All-Region.
