Buckmiller has been nothing short of spectacular through Week 7, emerging as one of the premier passers in 3A football. Completing 114 of 163 passes for 2,098 yards, Buckmiller has thrown 24 touchdowns while limiting mistakes with just four interceptions. Buckmiller currently leads all CO players in passing yards. The 6’1 185-pound senior is having a career year. Through 3 games, he had thrown for 70/98 for 1388 yards, a 71.4% completion with 16 TDs and 1 INT. Buckmiller plays the game like its backyard football and it looks effortless. He has a lightning-fast release with very good throw power. He fits the ball in very tight windows. Very good on off platform throws. Very good throw on the run. He uses his fluid snappy hips when rolling out left and readjusting. Good scramble ability due to his good acceleration and speed. Buckmiller is a very accuracy quarterback. He has good touch and very good ball placement skills. Under pressure, he stays poised or will roll out to find the open man. He can make plays out of nothing, and looks like a magician doing it. I’m very impressed with his film, and I won’t be surprised when colleges see his intangibles.  

Buckmiller is a pocket QB that has the ability to read the defense and make a quick throw to the open receiver. His team only won three games this year but he was able to be smart with the football even when his team was down, only having 8 interceptions to pair with 22 touchdowns. He does have nice touch being able to let his receivers run under deep passes and get yards after catch. He put up some solid numbers this season and will be looking to carry that momentum with him into the offseason and pop onto the radar heading into his senior year.
