Defense isn’t bad either when it comes to Barbe High School, as they have one of the only players in the state who finished with five interceptions or fewer, including being the only freshman who did so in the state of Louisiana last season. When the class of 2029 begins to be ranked, it is safe to say that he is going to find himself in a prime position to be ranked as the best defensive back in the state, as I would personally state that it is hands down. Lemons is becoming one of my favorite prospects, and I truly believe that plenty of QBs will fear Lemons this season.

There is a reason that many state that Terrius Lemons Terrius Lemons 5'9" | 160 lbs | DB Barbe | 2029 State LA is the best player from the state of Louisiana in the class of 20-29, as in 2025, he was easily the most efficient defensive freshman in the state, and one of the better high school players in the country as a freshman. He finished with a total of five interceptions, which lands him on this list as one of the few players with this elite stat line. Lemons is only getting better on his coverage, as there were plenty of situations that his speed allowed him to make a play, but this season it is safe to say that he won’t be targeted nearly as much, especially if the gunslingers he plays against decide to do their homework.

While many have tested him and his coverage, many have failed. He continues to show that he is one of the better players in the state when it comes to flipping the field on the defensive side of the ball, as well as getting the ball back into the hands of the offense, which is the best thing a defensive back can do. He will be even better this season, despite finishing the season with five interceptions.
