Terrell Henry Terrell Henry 6'3" | 185 lbs | ATH Marion County | 2023 State KY is a player that stood out to me in the regular season that continued to impress during the playoffs. While Mason County fell short of their end goal of the State Championship, Henry still found a way to make his mark. Henry finished the playoffs with 19 total tackles and two interceptions over their four game playoff stretch. He lined up at safety and did a great job of reading both the quarterback and opposing receivers. Once he was able to read where the ball was going, Henry showed the ability to cover a ton of ground quickly to put himself in a position to make a play on the ball. He was able to break on the ball with perfect timing to catch interceptions in stride. Henry also showed the ability to come downhill when defending short passes and use his physicality to knock the ball loose. Terrell currently holds offers from Georgetown (KY), Kentucky State, Charleston (WV), and Thomas More, and I can see him thriving at any of those schools as he is a player that can be a difference maker on either side of the ball as he is also a very talented receiver.

Terrell Henry Terrell Henry 6'3" | 185 lbs | ATH Marion County | 2023 State KY was one of the most spectacular defensive players to watch this past season. The senior from Mason County completely caught me by surprise when I first watched him play. He finished this season placing 1st in the state for total interceptions (9 total). Terrell has top-tier athleticism that not many can compare to in the Bluegrass state. When he is going up for the ball, Henry uses his athletic leverage to get his hands on the ball to cause a defensive turnover. His defensive footwork is a beauty to see as it is perfectly choreographed with the opposing receiver. The best part of Terrell’s game that I like the most is that he is the hardest-hitting defensive back I have seen this season. He will charge like a bull at an opposing receiver that is about to catch the ball and throw him to the ground, which sometimes ends up with fumble recoveries for his defense. A lot of this can be thanks to his physicality & strength that helps him maintain the catch-off interceptions even with physical contact. Terrell will stop at nothing to get his offense back out onto the field when it comes to his defense. Although he is a pure athlete as a receiver for Mason County, his talent on defense is what really caught my eye and I can see him utilizing those skills at the next level. Terrell seems to have multiple offers from local schools, but I believe he has D1 potential with how amazing he played this year.

Another senior defensive back that impressed me this season is Terrell Henry Terrell Henry 6'3" | 185 lbs | ATH Marion County | 2023 State KY from Mason County. Henry finished the regular season tied with Beam with seven interceptions, along with 25 total tackles. He lines up at safety and has shown the ability to read the quarterback and cover a lot of ground in a hurry to put himself in position to make plays. Once the ball is in the air, he breaks on it with perfect timing to come away with the interception. He also has shown the ability to come downhill and make hits to knock the ball loose from receivers. Henry also finished the season as Mason County’s leading receiver but I really liked what I saw from him at safety. Terrell doesn’t currently hold any offers but I believe that he deserves more attention from college coaches as he is a player that has the talent to play on either side of the ball at the next level.
