Terande Spencer Terande Spencer 6'3" | 235 lbs | EDGE Richmond Senior | 2026 State NC is one of the most complete defensive weapons in the entire state. The ECU commit is a monster on the edge — explosive, powerful, and violent with his hands — but what makes him truly special is his versatility. He can drop into coverage and move like a safety, erase passing lanes, and even take away an entire side of the field with his length and awareness. Spencer forces offenses to account for him on every snap, and when he’s dialed in, he turns into a one-man gameplan wrecker.
Against Porter Ridge, his impact could decide the night. Whether it’s blowing up run plays, chasing down mobile quarterbacks, or baiting throws in space, Spencer has the ability to completely tilt momentum and spark Richmond’s defense. If he dominates like he’s capable of, he can win Richmond this home playoff game almost by himself.

Spencer caught my attention early last year with some jaw-dropping performances in the opening weeks of the season. He was everywhere for Richmond County, racking up 17 sacks, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and two picks, playing a hybrid edge/linebacker role. He’s explosive, productive, and finally getting some traction on the recruiting trail.

When your first offer as a junior comes from the University of North Carolina, it’s a strong statement. Even before then though, Terande was on our radar because he had a special junior season on the field. Terande made game changing plays all year in helping Richmond County to the 3rd round of the State Playoffs. As a dominant EDGE player, Terande had 16 sacks, 90 tackles, and 33 tackles for loss. Terande has also been offered by Troy University. Terande lists a 4.62 40 yard dash time and a 3.2 GPA on his profile, numbers that should equal more offers coming his way sooner than later.

Spencer wasn’t even ranked in our last rankings update, I had to manually add him to the website after he started off the year as one of the players of the week. While he’s been consistent across the season, there were a few games where he simply took over, racking up tackles for loss in droves and almost single-handedly stalling out offenses.
