Giesge was the key cog of a high-octane Bluffton offense that help take the Pirates all the way to the division 6 state final 4. The sophomore dual threat quarterback threw for over 1,800 yards and 20 TD’s while running for over 1,000 yards and 17 touchdowns.
As a thrower Tayte can win from the pocket or on the move. From the pocket he has the ability to make high level throws to all 3 levels. He shows the confidence and arm strength to throw into windows. In the midst of a rush, he has the ability to throw from different arm slots. When Giesge is on the move whether it be on a roll out or out of structure he keeps his eyes down field and throw on balance with a good base. I’m very excited to see what the future holds as Tayte continues to develop both physically and as a quarterback.

Giesige has a lot of upside. The sophomore signal-caller finished right behind Buescher in passing yards and flashes a strong arm. He throws a nice deep ball and is effective when throwing on the move.
