Expert Analysis

Very good height and a good frame. Wins with his size and strength. Good in deep and intermediate route concepts where he can use his size to adjust to throws and box out defenders. He can outjump any defensive back, showing good strength to secure the catch. Good as a ball carrier, showing good speed and elusiveness with the run strength and balance to gain yards through contact. He is a high-upside player who will become a dominant force as his body continues to develop adding mass and speed and polishing his route tree.

Having seen him take the field in person twice this summer, I’m a big time believer in the ability of Palmer. The 6-foot-2, 150-pound Virginia Wide Receiver has all the makings of a prospect who could see offers start to come in, during his eighth-grade football season. From what I can tell, Palmer will be the deep go-to threat for the 757 Colts youth football program, replacing 2026 prospect Jyran Evans. Evans, who will be at Mt. Zion Prep this year, has quickly become one of the top Wide Receivers in the nation for the 2026 class and already holds offers from Michigan, Ole Miss, Buffalo, Campbell and Virginia Tech. If Palmer has even a fraction of the success Evans had, he should certainly be next up. He’s a long athlete with a huge catch radius–making him an obvious favorite target.
