Spray has a strong anchor against power and bull rushers during jump and 45 sets, demonstrating good hand timing, strength, and placement, along with foot speed and core strength to hold his ground. He effectively mirrors opponents due to his good foot quickness, balance, and lateral agility. As a base blocker, he explodes off the line of scrimmage with the right pad level, hand placement, and foot quickness, allowing him to create leverage to drive and displace defenders. Additionally, he possesses good combo blocking skills and the athleticism to get into open space, effectively creating running lanes.
