This is Tate’s second straight year being a Connolly Cup finalists, dominating Class D and leading the Wolfpack to the State Finals (They play for the championship this Friday at 3pm). Catanese has excellent accuracy and very efficient as he rarely turns the ball over. He is sound inside of the pocket as well as having great rollout ability.

He is a precision passer and holds a completion percentage of 64.3% in his previous 2 seasons. Catanese is as dangerous with his legs as he is with his arm, running for almost 1,000 yards and 16 touchdowns. Although they won a Section VI title last year, this dual threat QB will look to improve not just by repeating as sectional champs but taking CSP back to State for the first time since 2019.

All the while leading CSP to a 10-0 record in Section VI and a Class D Championship. Tate is a dual threat Quarterback. In both his Sophomore and Junior seasons, he was second on the team in rushing with a career stat line of 154 carries for 954 yards and 16 touchdowns. Catanese is a phenomenal athlete with tremendous accuracy and is only getting better. 2024 looks promising for CSP as QB

Catanese has been CSP’s starting QB since his Sophomore year, making the All State Team and leading the Wolfpack to the Class D playoffs in both seasons, winning it all in 2023. As a Junior, Tate showed off his pinpoint accuracy with a 68.8 completion percentage. He was incredibly efficient throwing just 5 interceptions to his 22 touchdown passes. He is a phenomenal athlete that can stand in the pocket to deliver a strike or roll out and gain yards with his legs. His accomplishments have been undeniable making 1st team All State, 1st Team All Western New York and was a Connolly Cup Finalist, the first player in school history to do so.
