Senior quarterback Tate Brooksher Tate Brooksher 5'8" | QB Gore | 2026 OK comes into this season as one of the more experienced quarterbacks in the class. Brooksher has been starting for the Pirates since his sophomore season and he can be incredibly productive as a passer and a runner. But for Gore’s offense, he’s going to be in a position where he’s leading a unique offense that is incredibly tough to defend. Gore is going to be a run-first offense and Brooksher has proven he can be a threat in the ground game. But in those situations where they are forced to pass, Brooksher can make it happen with his arm as well. 

In his first season as QB1, Tate Brooksher Tate Brooksher 5'8" | QB Gore | 2026 OK didn’t shy away from the spotlight of leading a team that had just made it to the state championship game in the previous year. As a sophomore, Brooksher never looked like a sophomore or a first time starter as he led the Gore offense with efficiency. He would throw for well over 1,500 yards and 20 touchdowns and completed nearly 60 percent of his passes. He would also run for nearly 700 yards and finished with 15 touchdowns on the ground. Brooksher is definitely a quarterback that we’re going to keep an eye on this season in Class A-2. If he takes another step forward, this Gore offense could be lights out in 2024.
