About Tareavion

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My style of football is very powerful and aggressive style of play on the football field. I search for contact and I welcome my opponent with a stiff arm. I challenge myself by breaking tackles through pure adrenaline and strength. Positive yardage after several contact, lets me know that I’ve put in the work.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would describe my mentality as being focused. I continue to set new goals when old goals have been achieved. I’m very competitive and it’s not just a game, it’s a passion.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I learned how to be a better leader through my coaches. The sound advice that they’ve given me, I implemented in my leadership style. Teamwork is a key to a team success and without it; a team foundation can be compromised.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Coaches, teachers, and students compared me to my older brother who is two years older than me. We play the same sport: football, basketball, and track. It’s frustrating because everyone wants me to be more like him. When he graduated, I was sad for a moment and it’s my time to step out of his shadow and create a name for myself and so here “I AM”.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a university that is willing to give me the opportunity to display my talent and let me work. Also, any college or university that coaches don’t show any favoritism.

Tareavion is another highly productive running back who had a special senior season this past year for White Oak. Tareavion rushed for over 2200 yards and had 27 touchdowns on the ground, just some incredible production for this young man. Tareavion holds an offer from Catawba College, and honestly, he should have more recruiting attention in my opinion. Tareavion was selected to play in the East/West All-Star game after the conclusion of the football season. Looking at his film, Tareavion is a strong north/south runner who can run through contact at any level consistently. On top of that, in the open field, he shows excellent speed and vision to make big runs consistently.

A surefire way to rise in the rankings is to average over 200 rushing yards per game, like Mageo did as a senior. He has great patience and vision as well as excellent long speed to finish runs, once he gets into the open field. Mageo popped up on our radar in Week 1 and only got better from there.

Mageo got off to an electric start this year and has continued his stellar play, avergaing over 200 yards a game. He’s been efficient, averaging over nine yards a carry, and his 23 touchdowns are also helping White Oak out to an 8-1 record. He has five 200-yard games this season.
