Hartley is an every-down defensive playmaker who can line up and produce in multiple spots in the secondary. In coverage, Hartley is patient, has great ball skills and timing, and frequently uses his hands to come up with some impressive PBUs/INTs.

Against the run, Hartley is just as productive. He’s an incredibly instinctual player who can find and attack the ball right after the snap. I’m seriously impressed with his pursuit/tackling skills- he can cover a ton of ground to come up with stops, and is seemingly always in the right place at the right time.
