Jones is a very athletic kid that can move well in space, has cover abilities and also can provide a pass rush from various angles of the defense. He plays against top tier competition within Northern California, and has been a leader on this Monte Vista defense for the past couple seasons. He has elite tracking/closing speed in the open field and is very physical in space and covers a ton of ground at the second level while a strong tackler that is violent through his progressions. He is a quick filler in gaps while able to bend around blockers or run through them, and shows a explosive get off, active hands and a natural bender when pass rushing off the edge or up the middle. Jones has multiple D-I rugby scholarships, and is a high academic kid that is also one of the best available Norcal linebackers left on the board.
