Expert Analysis
Caleb Holfoth | Prep Redzone Scout
Mullins has been one of the top performers for a James Monroe team that is filled with playmakers on the offensive side of the ball – a 250+ 4TD performance in Rd 1 of sectionals was one of his better performances this year – Mullins is a slippery runner who breaks tackles at a high rate. He is a quality receiving back as well and can have an impact in the return game with his quickness. He does a lot of things well, but what makes it all work is his vision; he follows blocks extremely well, is patient as a runner, and makes really good cuts to play off OL leverage.

Mullins is one of the more underrated prospects on the James Monroe offense. He has featured so many start wide receivers over the past and upcoming season, but he is fast and quick and makes guys miss in space. Mullins shows acceleration on tape to get by the first level, which was very effective between the tackles, even if he comes in at 170 lbs. Mullins also can impact the passing game out of the backfield, where his quickness and acceleration help him separate from LBs.

How many guys had 5+ INTS and 800+ rushing yards last season? Though not everyone posts stats he is the only one I could find, and if it were not for several blowout victorys Mullins could have easily hit 1,000+ yards. RB/Nickel who lives around the ball.
