T.J. Ward
About T.J.
Expert Analysis
Shayne Pickering | Prep Redzone Scout
TJ Ward is an intriguing tailback with the size of a linebacker and the athleticism to generate big plays on the ground.
He has the size to be a bruising back and pick up tough yards between the tackles with enough wiggle and the plus athleticism to be a whole lot more than just that.
At the high school level, he has created several explosive plays and is tough to bring down when he gets going.
The senior running back prospect is still available at the moment.

If it wasn’t Curtis causing damage against the Bruins defense, it was Ward. This Top 10 ranked running back by Prep Redzone TN was a force in the Eagles 59-7 win over USJ where Ward ran around and through the Bruins, while producing multiple touchdown runs. His ability to hit the hole quickly and break off would-be tacklers proved to be a difference maker the Bruins could not find an answer for.

is a big, powerful tailback that is not limited by his size and can hit the home-run play, doing it often and taking the pressure off a standout quarterback.
He has been electric when he has played for NCS from last playoffs on and it is easy to see why. He is built like a linebacker almost, but has the ability to stick at running back and there is always a role for that, especially with his long speed allowing him to make big plays happen.

, a running back at Nashville Christian School. Ward came in clutch in the first half, proving his ability to withstand heavy defensive pressure at the goal line, punching in a touchdown to extend the Eagles’ lead over the Rams. In addition to excellent size and speed for a running back, Ward impressed me with his ability to stay on his feet under pressure and fight for those extra yards.
