About Stratten

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with grit, composure, quick thinking, and ability to make things happen in adverse situationss. I have studied other k/p's and play in a similar manner to Pat McAfee.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a team player, considerate, willing to help younger players, first to arrive and one of the last to leave. I lift and practice outside of the team in addition to team practice. I am continually setting goals to improve my performance on and off the field.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Honor Society Spanish National Honor Society Young Life All-Big 10 Punter 2024 All-Harrison County Punter 2024 Coalfileds Specialist Finalist 2024 Pre-Redzone Honorable Mention Punter 2024

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Our team has continually been involved in community service. I have worked school carnivals, track meets, buckwheat cake feeds, etc. I have also worked the summer camp for younger youth.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I broke my ankle my Junior Year playing Wide Receiver. During that time I was the 2nd leading Offensive Player in addition to all the Kicking and Punting duties. I transferred schools my Senior to solely focus on k/p and it was the best decision I ever made. I am far from reaching my peak.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with a strong Special Teams staff and optimally with aviation/aerospace engineering.

A 2025 specialist name to know for the 2023 season and beyond is Grafton’s, Stratten Wooddell Stratten Wooddell Stratten Wooddell 5'10" | 175 lbs | K/P Robert C. Byrd | 2025 State WV . Wooddell can handle every kicking and punting duty and is a versatile specialist. From watching his clips on Twitter I like the way the ball comes off his foot and he appears to have a big leg. Wooddell can stretch his field goal to the 50-yard range and hit a 50-yard punt during his sophomore season. He’s been working with specialist coach/trainer Matt McCullough a lot this off-season and it should pay dividends for him this season and next.
