Stone is getting an early taste of what it takes to compete in the trenches at the high school level. The offensive line is a position where the little details matter, from getting a good first step to maintaining leverage and finishing blocks. For Stone, building that consistency will be important as he continues to develop. Having the opportunity to learn the position as a freshman gives him a head start on understanding different defensive fronts and improving his technique. I’m interested to see how Stone progresses as he gets stronger and more comfortable handling defenders across from him.

Stone showed strong competitiveness and fight throughout the day at camp. He approached each rep with good effort, staying engaged and willing to mix it up in both drill work and competitive periods.

What stood out was his toughness at the point of attack and his willingness to keep battling even when reps got difficult. He showed encouraging signs in his base and effort to stay square, with flashes of hand placement that will continue to develop with coaching.
