A outstanding-boarder-line-excellent tackler, McFadden aggressively attacks at the thigh boards of ball carriers, wrapping well. This same aggressive nature in tackling translates to how he plays the ball – as he looks to undercut and jump routes. I would probably describe McFadden as a defensive special teams ace. That said, he MUST identify himself pre-snap on his tape.
