Expert Analysis
Matt Tate | Prep Redzone Scout
Washer measures in at 6’6 190-pounds. This season, he accounted for 45 receptions for 727 yards and 12 touchdowns. He has very good athletic ability due to very good jumping, acceleration, speed, and good change of direction. Washer has a very good release at the line of scrimmage, against both off coverage and press jam. He has very good separation quickness due to his athletic ability, mental processing, and play strength. Washer will either out run the defender at the top of the route, find an open void to exploit, or create separation with his physicality. He has very good ball tracking and catching skills. Very good body adjustment and control to keep both feet in bounds for a big gain. After the catch, Washer will juke defenders out, or use a powerful stiff arm to get open. Washer is a dominating receiver/ TE, and would contribute at the next level with ease.

One of my favorite players to watch at this combine was Washer. Rare mixture of speed, size, and catching ability. He has very good athletic ability due to very good speed, acceleration, jumping and good change of direction. Very good release at the line of scrimmage, beating the DB in both off coverage and press during 7 v 7. Very good separation quickness due to athletic ability, play strength, and mental processing. Very good ball tracking skills. Very good catching. He consistently caught everything thrown is way. Plucking the ball, and using his strong fingertips to make the catch. He used his very good body control and adjustments to make the catches. He’s a big man who can MOVE and catch! Colleges would be doing themselves a disservice by not having him on their roster.

Washer brought a full package of size, speed, and polish to the field. Running one of the fastest 40s, he consistently created mismatches with both his athleticism and precise route running. His hands were among the best at the camp, rarely letting a pass slip by. Although he didn’t leave with MVP honors, Washer’s overall performance made a strong case for being the top wideout at the event. He’s a rising talent who belongs firmly on college radars.

Washer was a player that stood out last season as he was able to top 1,000 yards receiving. He is a mismatch problem being 6’6 and knows how to high point the football and hauling in the 50/50 catches. He shows strong hands with a wide catch radius and has a knack for being a tough receiver to bring down, making the first defender miss at times. With his size and strength he will be a stock watch player to watch on the 7on7 circuit this summer and will have a chance to turn some heads in the process.

Leading all 3A junior WRs in receiving yardage and touchdowns is Mr. Washer. Washer stands tall at 6’6 190-pounds and uses his big body to moss defensive backs. Throughout the season, he had 46 receptions for 1049 yards and 13 touchdowns. Washer has good athletic ability due to very good speed, jumping, good acceleration, and change of direction. He has a solid release at the line of scrimmage. Good separation quickness due to play strength and mental processing. Fights through contact during the route or will sit in the zone void waiting patiently. Very good ball tracking skills. Very good body control/adjustments. He adjusts his body to where the ball is thrown. If it is thrown low, he gets low. Very good catching, especially contested. He’ll extend his very lengthy arms, using suction hands to pluck the ball out of the air. Uses his big body and strength to overpower smaller DBs. I can see him transitioning to tight end, and demolish the middle of the field. You can’t teach height, and I would expect him to be on colleges’ radars.
