About Silas

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play tough and physical, always willing to step up in run support and make secure tackles. I rely on being smart and disciplined, reading plays quickly, and putting myself in the right position to help the team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I stay humble and coachable, always looking for ways to learn and get better. I put the team first, communicate well on the field, and approach the game with focus and discipline.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I’m actively involved in my church youth group. Being part of that community has helped me grow in my faith, build leadership skills, and learn the importance of serving others outside of sports.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My faith has shaped the way I approach leadership and teamwork. I believe in putting others before myself, and that shows up on the field in how I communicate, encourage, and support my teammates. Off the field, I’ve been able to serve through kids’ camps and community events, which has taught me patience, humility, and the importance of setting a positive example. Those experiences have helped me

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I’ve faced is being matched up against a lot of Division 1–level players in basketball, often taking the role of guarding the best player on the court. It pushed me to raise my level of play, stay disciplined, and embrace the responsibility of locking down tough opponents. Those experiences taught me how to compete against high-level talent with focus and toughness.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college where I can grow both on and off the field. I value a strong football culture built on discipline and teamwork, but I also want a school that challenges me academically and helps prepare me for life after football. Most importantly, I want to be part of a program and community that reflects strong values, where I can continue to grow in my faith, serve others.
