Atlantic Collegiate found out early in 2025 that Wilson could be useful in a number of ways, and few of them had much to do with the quarterback position he was initially slated to play even a couple years ago. As a tailback, he rushed for 571 yards and 12 touchdowns. Half of those scores came in a three-game stretch to end the regular season and the program’s first playoff victory (against Woodland).
But much of that production chased what he was able to do at linebacker, where he piled up 77 total tackles. In losses to Lewisville and Mullins early in the year, for instance, he put 25 total stops, including a career-high 14 against the Auctioneers.
That linebacker spot may ultimately pay more dividends for Wilson, as he’s a huge hitter with above-average mobility. We wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up playing some strong safety at ACA as a senior or in the college ranks.
