About Sean

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Strong dominate distributive force on the defensive line. Quick reflexes and reactive timing and confident.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I was raised to put respect, kindness and positivity as a priority. I know that working hard & doing your best every day you show up is a requirement that I expect of myself. I know there are & will be challenges & frustrations on & off the football field, but I focus on what I can control in every situation & do my best to continue to stay positive & lead by example to support those around me.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed a lot of patience and showing grace while keeping high expectations of myself and others. I have two younger brothers that I volunteer in their classrooms whether it’s by being a ‘Mystery Reader”, volunteering at Field Day/Field Trips or helping in classroom parties where needed. Helping others in the community and within my family gives me strength and is fun as well.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

In early January 2024 I had a major surgery to repair a torn labrum in my shoulder, that had been damaged for about 3-4yrs. My surgeon treated my recovery very conservatively with aggressive physical therapy for 8 mths. Giving myself the patience & grace to recover smart was tough. I still attended off season workouts & pre-season workouts which was hard being on the sideline waiting to heal.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that has a great engineering program as well as a strong work ethic football program focusing on strength, conditioning and overall health as a priority since “My BEST ability is my AVAILABILITY” and being strong and healthy allows me to play the game of football successfully which makes it more fun!

Tyler’s early offers are from Virginia Tech and Delaware State. He is an explosive interior defensive lineman with a great get-off and the ability to consistently reset the line of scrimmage. Tyler’s first step is consistently fast and violent. On multiple plays from his freshman year tape, he beats the center immediately and penetrates the backfield. Tyler’s ability to create disruption before the play makes him an extreme headache for opposing linemen. His ability to shoot gaps and finish plays results in tackles at or behind the line of scrimmage. Tyler stays low and wins leverage battles consistently. His stock will go up even more with a strong sophomore year campaign.
