Monaghan has been on our radar at Prep Redzone for some time. We finally got a chance to check out his sophomore highlight video from 2025 for evaluation. The versatile Columbus Catholic student-athlete contributed a 15-yard reception on offense, but did most of his damage on the other side of the ball. Monaghan registered 17.5 tackles, 13 of which were solo stops. He intercepted a pass, defended two passes and recovered a fumble. He averaged 14.0 yards on a pair of punt returns. We see that athleticism allowing contributions all around field when watching his clips. The first one has him lining up at safety, where he reads the play and breaks on a ball for a pick. Monaghan sets up off the edge on the second play and crashes down on the run. He has room to fill out and add strength, which should help him continue ascending as a prospect.
